A Turkey of a Scrooge

It’s crazy how gratefully giving we act on Thanksgiving, only to turn around and behave so grabbingly gluttonous on the following day. Yeah, Black Friday can abruptly turn a Turkey into something really anti-Thanksgiving – a Scrooge!

Crazy, ain’t it? One day we’re all into giving; the next we’re consumed with taking. It’s almost like we live in a Jekyll and Hyde type of society, and the narcissistic transformation starts the day after Thanksgiving. From a thankful turkey to a selfish scrooge…overnight! WOW!

So true! Black Friday has replaced the significance of Good Friday in this culture. But as long as you say "Merry Christmas" instead of "Happy Holidays," you're not consumed with materialism, right? :)
